Job Qualifications & Requirements:

My client company is a privately owned regional retail company currently conducting a confidential search for the position of Graphic Designer at their Oklahoma City corporate headquarters location.

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing visual solutions to the communication needs of the company using a mix of creative skills and commercial awareness. The Graphic Designer must have imaginative flair, awareness of current trends in the visual arts (including LED display), a working knowledge of the latest computer packages and an understanding of material costs and time limits, all of which can impact on the design.

The Designer must have a strong retail background, and be comfortable working in a variety of mediums and styles (print, video, POP, outdoor, etc.), and will provide quality visuals as is appropriate for the selected medium.

Duties will include:
• Designing all in-store signage and communicating effectively to the store locations regarding usage
• Maintaining photography and design elements on the website
• Producing all design work for collateral print materials (mailers, flyers, posters, etc.)
• Interpreting the stated needs of the company and making recommendations to meet the associated business needs;
• Thinking creatively to produce new ideas;
• Using a wide range of media, including photography and computer aided design;
• Producing accurate and high quality work;
• Keeping abreast of developments in IT, particularly design programs.
• Working well in a team, with internal and external contacts such as printers, copywriters, photographers, other designers, website designers and marketing specialists;
• Turning deliverable around on short notice and working to tight deadlines.

Three to five years of comparable experience in a retail environment, taking a campaign from concept to completion is required. A bachelor’s degree in design or comparable field is preferred. Please apply by email, and include a portfolio sample or web portfolio location with your resume.
