Position Title

Corporate Underwriting Representative, Tulsa

Qualifications & Requirements

• Identify and secure new corporate underwriters and work with staff to support current relationships. • Work with the Development Director to establish budgetary goals and annual strategies that will lead to the proposed revenue outcomes. Reach and exceed personal budget goals. • Work with OKC Corporate Underwriting staff to coordinate sales materials and client lists. • Research, write and present proposals to corporate community. Write business correspondence and make public presentations. • Prepare, execute and manage underwriting contracts. • Write and manage production of on-air, print and online corporate sponsor messages. • Follow OETA Foundation, PBS network and FCC guidelines regarding copy development, copy approval, copy and traffic deadlines, account receivables and collections. • Work with OETA traffic manager to analyze on-air inventory, with OETA Communications and production staff on content production, and other departments as necessary. • Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions and percentages. • Read, interpret and analyze media ratings, professional broadcast and public media news and governmental regulations • Maintain relationship records in station database for all interactions including identification, qualification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. • Routinely report internally on progress, generating reports that reflect weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity in revenue along with corporate sponsor cultivation, stewardship and solicitation. • Work primarily with the business community in supporting OETA’s community efforts and activities. Essential Job Requirements: EDUCATION • Bachelor’s degree EXPERIENCE • At least three years of direct sales experience. We are specifically seeking candidates who have been successful in cultivating and soliciting corporate sales and who are familiar with the Tulsa market. REQUIRED SKILLS • Must have demonstrated success setting and achieving fundraising goals in a client service, sales or marketing-intensive environment. • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to analyze and interpret data, develop presentations, organize and follow through. • Proficient in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook; and familiarity with client database software. • Must be willing to travel throughout the state and work flexible hours when necessary. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must have ability to travel and handle normal stress of day to day office environment.
