Job Qualifications & Requirements:
Design art and copy layouts for material to be presented by visual communications media such as catalogs, magazines, newspapers, and packaging.

DUTIES
•    Design/produce catalogs, flyers, promotional materials and other print publications for Sela Products according to supplied specifications.
•    Generate a variety of creative concepts for publications using available Art Dept. resources – photos, clip art, etc.
•    Create master pages, style sheets, layouts, index and cover designs for publications with input and assistance from the other Graphic Artist(s).
•    Work with Marketing department to paginate catalogs; determining sections and categories, developing indexes as needed.
•    Work with outside departments to create/update specialized materials according to their specifications: Sales Flyers, Fax Flyers, Forms, Product Bulletins/Cut Sheets & Brochures, Signage, Banners, Displays, etc. making corrections and obtaining all needed sign-offs prior to printing.
•    Design/produce logos and packaging for Sela Products and other private label goods.
•    Review all proofs received from the printer with the Catalog Marketing Manager and mark-up with corrections or changes if needed. Request additional proofs or send corrected files if necessary.
•    Perform general maintenance, troubleshooting and optimization on personal workstation.
•    Attend seminars and trade shows as required. Take classes to improve/expand skills and knowledge.
•    Flexibility and adaptability with new software, as well as being aware of the future needs and options in the ever-changing computer field.
•    Develop and design new packaging concepts for the retail and integrator sales channels.
•    Develop and maintain product spec sheets for all products produced by Sela Products.
•    Coordinates website layouts and information.
•    Other duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Education:
•    Associates degree in Visual/Graphic Arts, Marketing or related field preferred.
Experience:
•    2 to 5 years graphic design experience preferred.
SKILLS & CERTIFICATION
•    Expert knowledge in, Macintosh computer systems, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Scanning, as needed, Direct to plate/PDF production, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite (a plus), and File maker Pro (a plus)
•    Superb attention to detail.
•    Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects.
•    Excellent follow-up and follow-thru skills.
Typical Physical Demands:
•    Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.  Occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs.  Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.  Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
