Saxum is looking for either an Account Executive (AE) or Senior Account Executive (SAE), dependent upon experience level, to manage and provide support to client accounts in the healthcare, consumer and business to business industries. This position manages or helps manage the strategic direction of integrated marketing communications programs, including media strategies (both paid and earned), public relations, digital and creative initiatives, budgets and client relationships. This position will focus on both strategic and tactical items and also oversee other staff members assigned to his/her client teams. The candidate should have experience developing and implementing integrated marketing communications strategies, place priority on teamwork, be a strong problem-solver and have excellent time-management and organization skills. Excellent writing (including AP style), marketing, media buying/planning, media relations, crisis communications, project management, relationship management, event coordination, issue advocacy, public affairs, communications and presentation skills are important. Candidates must be committed to and enthusiastic about delivering results that drive clients’ goals. Description • Develop, manage and implement strategic plans for client accounts • Develop and execute effective marketing campaigns to support key initiatives including objectives, brand positioning, messaging and marketing tools • Plan, purchase and reconcile media buys • Conceptualize and write documents including communications plans and presentations, news releases, media reports, research briefs or reports, case studies, fact sheets, collateral materials, etc. • Handle specific tactical work for clients (including writing, marketing, campaign measurement, social media, and research). • Support media relations activities and social media activities, including pitching stories to local, state and national media and monitoring and developing media reports • Monitor and analyze all account media coverage and compile client reports • Manage implementation of events such as news conference, client events, media tours, etc. • Work with in-house creative team to develop creative materials • Support office and company growth by providing excellent client service and assisting senior staff with business development activities • Assemble awards nomination entry components for Saxum and clients • Act as a mentor to junior account executives, account coordinators and intern positions • Develop monthly, quarterly and annual client reports Requirements We are looking for a candidate who enjoys working with others, problem solving and creating value for clients. Excellent writing (including AP style), project management, event management, communications and presentation skills are important. Candidates must be committed to delivering results that meet clients’ business goals. Candidate must be a utility player and learn new integrated marketing skills. We are looking for someone who is willing to jump in and contribute where needed. • Experience: 3-5 years of experience for Account Executive and 5+ years for Senior Account Executive in strategic communications/public relations. Experience managing/leading multiple projects is required. Prior agency experience is preferred. Experience with media buying preferred. • Education: Bachelor's degree is required for this position. Major or field of study preferably in public relations, marketing or communications, but not required. • Programs/Software: Proficient in all Microsoft office products and standard PC software. • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Characteristics: Saxum is seeking an energetic, positive, talented, highly motivated and creative individual with a strong work ethic.
