BASIC PURPOSE: The Communications Administrator is responsible for the effective delivery of information and corporate communications to employees of the Love’s Family of Companies, including Love’s Travel Stops & Country Stores, Gemini Motor Transport, Musket Corporation and Trillium CNG. The role encompasses the timely creation, coordination and implementation of employee communication through a range of channels to ensure ease of access, clarity and consistency. Performs a wide variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of volunteers and other employees. This is a full-time position that requires some evening and weekend availability and will require some travel. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Develops and delivers high-quality communications across the Love’s Family of Companies utilizing internal communications channels, including company intranet, weekly/biweekly email newsletter, monthly printed newsletter, mobile-based employee application, and email announcements and messages. 2.Develops and manages communications for Gemini Motor Transport, our fuel-hauling company, through collaboration, execution and results measurement. 3.Develops and manages communications for Musket Corporation, our fuel-trading and logistics company, and Trillium CNG, our compressed natural gas company, through collaboration, execution and results measurement. 4.Supports communications for other departments and stakeholders through collaboration, execution and results measurement. 5.Manages communications projects from start to completion and reports results to stakeholders. 6.Organizes and executes employee communications and manages volunteers for internal and community events. 7.Coordinates and attends national fundraising-campaign events and employee-award programs. 8.Other duties assigned as needed. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: •Education: •HS diploma or equivalent required. •College degree preferred in journalism, public relations, English, communications or business-related field. •Experience: •2-3 years experience in communications field. SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: •Skills: •Hard skills: excellent and accurate writing skills and verbal communication, knowledge of Associated Press Style rules, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, general PC skills, basic accounting understanding. •Soft Skills: self-motivated, team player, keen attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, time-management skills, ability to work independently, sound decision making, ability to handle confidential information, ability to change gears quickly and efficiently, positive attitude, ability to work under general direction. •Typical Physical Demands: •Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. •Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. •Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
