Required Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/job related experience, AND 0-24 months in public relations, marketing or similar agency Required Skills and Proficiencies: • Microsoft Office proficiency required; working knowledge of Adobe CS programs required • Working knowledge of all social media platforms • Strong writing and editing skills along with working knowledge of AP Style • Must be able to communicate well and build rapport quickly with students, faculty and staff; and must have strong initiative to solve problems Department Preferences: • Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Advertising or Marketing • Writing, editing and proofreading experience; • Social media management experience; • Experience with broadcast production and editing (photography, videography); • PR/Advertising agency experience; • Web development and content management experience; • Some management or supervisory experience; • Housing/leasing office experience in residential and/or commercial market

Job Function: The account supervisor’s primary responsibilities will revolve around the oversight of OU Housing and Food Services’ housing accounts and projects related to campus living. S/he will manage the day-to-day direction of housing publicity, campaign management and social media exposure. Building relationships with campus partners and departmental directors also is a vital role to the account supervisor position. The account supervisor will at times design and create marketing materials (e.g. promotional coupons, flyers, signage, etc.) and be involved with the hands-on work associated with account development (e.g. updating Facebook pages, tweeting, delivering materials to managers, etc.). S/he also will oversee student interns assigned to his/her accounts. In addition to the management of housing accounts, the account supervisor also will be assigned to similar tasks supporting other parts of the Marketing and Communications team, as necessary. Duties Include: Housing marketing activities – Residential Colleges and Traditions Square Apartments. • Schedule and work recruiting and leasing events for current OU students and incoming freshmen • Assist with social media content creation – Housing and Residence Life, Traditions Square and Residential Colleges accounts • Assist with and train HFS staff for tours of Residential Colleges • Cross promote with OU departments across campus • Assist with parent outreach • Promote the 2-year freshman contract • Align housing retention efforts with University retention efforts • Ensure consistent messaging with Cross Development project • Marketing Liaison for Housing Operations • Implement marketing activities and events associated with same room sign up and reapplication at Traditions Square Apartments and Residential Colleges • Manage and keep up-to-date the current lead list for Residential Colleges and Traditions Square Apartments • Establish and maintain contact with potential residents who have started contracts to generate completed contracts - call, email, text • Assist with LiveOU marketing activities • Work events and tables • Ensure LiveOU is included in all previously mentioned Housing and Food Services’ upperclassmen housing initiatives • Ensure consistent messaging between Housing and Food Services and the LiveOU Campaign
