This is an exceptional opportunity for a mission-minded person to generate sponsorship revenue for non-commercial stations committed to journalistic excellence and community service. Over 300,000 highly-targeted Oklahomans listen to KGOU/KOSU/KUCO and StateImpact Oklahoma each week. Cameron Media Sales, with more than 30 years of experience in the media industry, provides outsourced sponsorship sales to non-commercial, non-profit stations. We have a long history of delivering substantial marketing ROI to our stations as well as to local businesses, organizations, schools, and agencies. The ideal candidate has a passion for the mission of public media, is a self-starter and problem solver. Candidate must be well-organized and motivated to excel. He or she will have a solid knowledge of marketing and media as well as a demonstrated history of media advertising sales success. Candidate is an Oklahoma resident with established networks in the community. He or she will sell radio sponsorship announcements and digital media plus focus on developing new business while managing a growing account list. Candidate will have freedom to win new clients across the state and work from the location that best suits your needs. This could be a full or part-time or independent contractor position, depending on candidate’s qualifications and situation. It could be perfect for someone who wants to transition from commercial media sales or for someone re-entering the work place. The ideal candidate will find the work very rewarding with the opportunity to develop relationships with many remarkable people who work at, listen to and sponsor these public radio stations. *Responsibilities* Express the unique value that public media offers in a competitive media marketplace. Research and prepare proposals to meet prospective client needs. Establish and maintain new client relationships. Use CRM to manage current and potential sponsor activities. *Qualifications* 2+years of proven media sales success – broadcast and digital is preferred. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Passionate listener knowledgeable about KGOU, KOSU, KUCO and StateImpact Oklahoma programming and events. Strong time-management skills and ability to work on your own. Computer skills: Salesforce, MS Office and PowerPoint, Nielsen. Safe driving record, proof of insurance and reliable transportation, reliable internet and cell service from home. Knack for cultivating in-person and virtual relationships built on trust and credibility. Patient yet persistent to manage a longer sales cycle. Thoughtful and persuasive verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to identify and qualify prospects. Collaborative personality and reverence for communication with management and peers for insight and feedback. Positive attitude and thoughtful demeanor.
