Qualifications & Requirements

Education and Work Experience: • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, advertising or related field preferred • Associates degree in graphic design, visual communications, advertising or related field required • 2-3 years of experience in a full-time equivalent role Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Demonstrated experience using a website Content Management System, HTML and Adobe Creative Suite • Demonstrated knowledge of brand implementation and management • Excellent communication skills including follow-through with project owners • Deadline oriented and strong organizational skills are a must • A desire to work in a collaborative workplace and a strong commitment to teamwork • Ability to work on multiple projects with minimal supervision and be comfortable being part of a fast-paced, innovative environment

Additional Job Details

Position will also assist with various marketing and public relations initiatives. Essential Functions: • Develop creative materials and provide technical support for the Regional Food Bank’s publications, communications tools, special events and website • Manage website content to ensure successful SEO • Provide creative design and special reports to key donors as requested • Participate in graphic design/creative affinity group within the network of the Feeding America food banks • Research, analyze and make recommendations for new media vehicles for consideration • Commit to staying current on trends and opportunities as it relates to online marketing, SEO and new creative tools • May assist the Advancement team with online giving and advocacy program newsletters using online fundraising software (Convio), Mail Chimp or others • Help create content, design and distribute internal and external communications, including: newsletters; volunteer eNewsletter; staff eNewsletter; advocacy eNewsletters, etc. • Participate in other marketing functions as a member of the Advancement Department team that further the work of the organization, including promoting the Regional Food Bank through speaking engagements and conducting tours as needed • Assist with all Special Events creative requirements • Create and/or maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all areas of responsibility • Supervise Graphic Design Interns when applicable Work Environment Description: • Environmentally controlled with no exposure to extreme changes in the weather, and limited exposure to humidity/moisture relative to atmospheric condition variations. • No exposure to dust, chemicals, gases, fumes, smoke, excessive noise, and/or vibrations • Work generally performed in an office environment. • Travel may be required for assignments, meetings, and training. • Overtime, Weekend and/or Holiday hours may be required.
